Still Remember
0xhaiku
"Still Remember" is a relational art using smart contracts. The project stemmed from 0xhaiku's happy memory at a beach seven years ago. To make the moment eternal, the photo taken at that moment was stored as a JPEG image on the blockchain. You can mint the snapshot as token by attaching fragments of your still-remembered happy memories (Emojis) to the transaction. This memory exchange ceremony becomes an important part of the art. The token is glitch art that corrupts over time; it can be temporarily restored by transfer, but if unmoved for three years, it becomes irreparable. Three years later, will you still remember this ceremony?

THE RULES OF THE CEREMONY
- In order to mint the token, memory fragments must be included in the transaction.
- The token image will gradually corrupt over a period of 180 days after minting or transfer.
- When the token is transferred, it returns to its initial state and corrupts again in the same way.
- The corruption depends on the hash value generated from the memory fragments, and in some cases, it may not be possible to display the image.
- If the token is not transferred for 1095 days, it cannot be repaired again.
Logic inspired by the forgetting theory of memory determines the number of bytes to be corrupted.
Fully onchain glitch
The logic of the smart contract manipulates the bytes and returns a corrupted JPEG. Please note that glitches are not designs and may not really be displayed on the browser.
For platforms such as opensea, please update the image.
The new work is a more practical approach to the relationship between art and collectors. Even with the current blockchain, small personal healing is possible and can be done by the artist. It is interesting that the value in such cases depends on personal memory.
